Celebrating 20 years of Jane Iredale

These days we are surrounded by ‘natural’ products, however, 20 years ago when Jane started her make-up line, mineral make-up had not been heard of. At the time Jane was a casting director dealing with actors and models going from job to job and having all kinds of make-up put on their skin. She initially wanted to create a foundation that didn’t cause skin problems. Her breakthrough came through the medical community. At the time, laser resurfacing was just starting. Jane’s loose powder foundation was light, easy to remove and a great cover for the redness experienced following treatment.

There is now a full spectrum of natural skin care make-up products within the range.

Mineral make-up has become extremely popular in the last few years, and even though there are now many mineral make-up ranges on the market, not all is created equally. Many brands contain talc, nylon or cornstarch as their main ingredient. This is NOT mineral make-up. The main ingredients should be iron oxides, titanium dioxide and/or mica. Also it should have at least SPF 15. If it’s a good mineral make-up it will contain titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, which automatically give you sun protection.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand and the start of spring, jane iredale has launched the new Magic Hour Collection with six new enchanting products for cheeks, eyes and lips. Full of golden light and warm shimmering colour, this romantic collection embodies that special light we see during that "magic hour" just before sunset.

PurePressed Eye Shadow Triple - Shade Golden Girl creates golden lids that can be sultry or romantic, with a palette of three glimmering eye shadow shades that may be worn alone or together.

Lip Fixation - This dual-ended lip stain and gloss creates a luscious, shiny look while hydrating and imparting a delicious vanilla taste on lips. The new mauve shade, Compulsion, creates a subtle, sultry lip, while Craze takes coral to a gorgeous golden hue.

Touch Highlighter - Available in shade Comfort, this luminising cream-to-powder highlighter blends easily to complement your glowing complexion to highlight the tops of cheekbones, brow bones and the bridge of the nose.

At Euphoric we too are celebrating jane iredale’s 20^th anniversary at our extra special make-up event on Thursday 15^th May. We will be running our ever popular one to one VIP consultations throughout the day followed by a party in the evening. From 6 – 8pm our professional make-up artist will carry out demonstrations and guests will have the chance to try out products, not only from the new collection but from the whole jane iredale range.
